First all, when I wrote the review, the Yahoo! address listing was wrong....in March 2009, Blues moved and opened in the Columbus Convention Center-400 N. High St.
We're not talkin' crystal, linen napkins, and fine china...we're talking BBQ, midwest-style! Excellent, pulled meats (chicken, pork, beef). Tasty sides (everyone my friend and I have tried is good---including collard greens), corn bread that tastes like corn bread, but without the dry, stick-in-your throat feeling. And puddings that are more like mousse than that stuff that comes in a box!
And here's the best part: sandwich, side, drink AND dessert for around $10!!!
I've tried all the local BBQ places I know of--it's probably my favorite kind of food-this is the best of any in town. (since the tragic demise of the Stagecoach in S.Bloomfield)
So far, I've found only 3 downsides (1) because they are in the Convention Center they've limited their menu, (2) Limited hours---I'd call before going any time other than weekday lunch time, (3) the "dining area" is the convention center food court (e.g., zero "ambiance"), I suggest getting it to go and hit a park for an impromptu picnic.
