User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe only place to go in Addison County for a quality night out! Excellent food prepared by Chef Ian Huizenga, what a menu!! Harper has whatever concoction/beer you want to partake in, Come Hungry and definitely NOT pricey!! You will be amazed at the laid back atmosphere, quiet dinner in an intimate booth, casual relaxing in a comfy couch, hang at the bar, sit out on the patio, Table for 6 -8-10-12??play darts, foosball your call!!!

Three words: Bravo Bravo Bravo!
Coming from someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for years now, I am incredibly impressed by the high quality of food that is being offered at the new Bar Antidote. My enthusiasm has led me to dine there 4 times in the past two weeks, only to be more impressed each time. Their burger, pulled pork sandwich, mussels appetizer, quesadilla, and recent salmon burger special with the cilantro mayo--were all perfect. Chef Huizenga has created a menu that is classic with just enough flair, and a product that is fresh and of very high quality..something that not enough restaurants in Vermont seem to achieve. This is exactly the kind of place that Vergennes has needed for some time now. Well done and bravo. -

What a great bar! Very comfy couches, great atmosphere, amazing bar food. It's our favorite place to meet friends for drinks, and is very comfortable and welcoming.
