My mother, sister and I had a wonderful evening at the XIX Restaurant in the Park Hyatt! It was a recommendation by the concierge in our hotel and we were very happy with the choice. The view and decor is exquisite. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Our service was good and the meal was delicious. My bison was succulent, as was my sister's red snapper. Although the menu was limited, it had variety. It was a memorable evening for our last night in Philly and I look forward to going back someday.
what a crappy place to dine,
first to start, the context of the place was nice; The view, table settings and the wine room.
but the service and the food is not recommended to consume.
we were sat by a tall lady with her top button popped(trying to look sexy?), she talked to us as if she was too high of a person to talk and left leaving us with the dinner menu.
we ordered the beef carpaccio and beet salad to start and was good but the soup was terrible, followed by the entree. I could not believe i spent 150 on wine and food in that place. it was not worth it. I felt robbed.
Why was the soup bland like canned, why was the fillet mignon burned around the edges.
overall, crappy place to dine and crappy service
what a disappointment. Limited menu on saturday night
and no potatoes or vegetables on the entree plate.
They were out of one of two beef dishes. The oysters had no taste and twelve raw clams equaled one on the half shell. The crab cake was the worst my daughter-in-law ever had and that she sent back.I think everything bombed partly in fact that the tip was already included in our table of eight.
