I have had several miserable experiences having my computer fixed before going to Joel of Computer Troubleshooters. I believe it was Clement Freud who said, "When you hit someone over the head with a book and get a hollow sound, it doesn't necessarily mean it's the book that's empty." Believe me when I say that it's very unpleasant when the hollow sound you hear is coming from your head. Well, you can believe me again when I tell you that there was no hollow sound to be heard this time because I went to the right person, Joel and The Computer Troubleshooters. The more usual attributes of a good professional such as superior knowledge of their field and the skills to apply it can be referred to quickly in Joel's case. What deserves special mention are the rare qualities he posseses and observes to a high degree, that make people like me go back to him and to refer family and friends. I seldom recommend people who do work for me because even if they have done an excellent job they did not convince me they were committed to excellence. The excellent outcome seemed random. With Joel it was just the opposite. He conveys pride in his work with a determination to control both the input of his effort and the outcome of the intended solution. Combined with this are two of the greatest qualities, being trust and common sense. Joel is also a really warm and user friendly person. So, if you don't want to hear that hollow sound, do what I did. Go to Joel and the Computer Troubleshooters.
I have known Joel for a number of years and, while he has always been knowledgeable about computers, since he has joined Troubleshooters, he has built upon his existing skills and expertise. He has helped me with numerous Windows and other application issues that I had been unable to solve myself. I do know a bit about computers, but more on the software side - Joel knows BOTH sides of the PC, both hardware and software. He brings to his job both experienced knowledge and inspirational insight. The system I am now using was purchased through him and I've never been more pleased with a PC.
Okay, I know this sounds like "over the top" praise - but it is well deserved. And he's also a real nice guy and easy to talk to. He will never steer you wrong regarding computer decisions, whether from a single PC or an office-wide network. He's got the know-how, and he's not afraid to use it.
All in all, an excellent performer.
Cannot say enough good things about Joel and the services he provides. I have know him for years and can say in all honesty that he has found his niche in life. He is honest, dependable and knowledgeable - he is fair and has always done the job he promised to do. It is a pleasure to have him as a consultant for my computer problems. You will be delighted with the services he provides.
