Connie's Alterations and Dry cleaning across from Tascosa High School.
Please read my experience I had with them. I have filed a complain with the Better Business Bureau regarding the situation.
On Friday April 17 around 3:15 p.m. I took 2 of my competition suits in to get dry cleaned. When I asked if they could clean the items they lady said let me ask. Another lady looked at the articles and said yes, we can try to. I told her I was not concerned with getting the outside of the articles cleaned, just the inside to remove the blood and tanning spray that was on the items. She said she would try. ( I figure that if you are going to try to clean something you would try 1 piece at a time to see how it reacts to the cleaning) When I came to pick the items up on Tuesday morning around 8:35 a.m. I pulled up in the drive thru and a lady came out to help. She brought me the suits and I paid. Once I got to work I opened the bag to look at the suits. 1 of the suits was missing all but 3 stones that were on the suit. I called to Connie's and a man answered. I told him of the situation and he ask me "did no one tell you about the missing stones when you picked up your articles." I stated no, she just handed them to me and took my money. He said the stones fell down the drain. I asked why did no one tell me or call me when it happened and he said that there was a note on my dry cleaning and someone should have told me. I asked what they were going to do about it and he said to bring them back up. I stated I had just gotten to work so it would be later. I called back up to Connie's around 10:30 a.m. and asked to speak to a Manager to find out when I could come in and talk to someone about the situation. I explained who I was and the Manager said that it was not their fault and that I should send the suit back to where I bought it. I explained to her that I took it there because it had to be special cleaned due to all the stones and that it was there responsibility to take good care of it.It would do me no good to send it back where I got it since I did not have any of the stones to send with the suit to get reapplied. She was extremely rude and started telling me to just throw it away then it was no good. I was very upset with the way she treated me and all the terrible things she said. I could not even get a word in because she kept on yelling over me when I was trying to explain to her the problem. All I asked was for them to compensate me for my loss and she said no that it was not their fault and that we could just sue her then if we wanted to get our money. I stated I would like to come in and show her how much I paid for the suit and talk to someone and she just continued to yell at me. Very unprofessional for a business. I have NEVER been treated that way before.
