I contacted Summit Cleaning Services & spoke w/Herbert to have our house cleaned. Herbert said they wipe ceilings to floor. Clean ceiling lights, fans, etc. Also stated that they would scrub floors on hands & knees to make sure there were no streaks. He also stated that they had a powerful vac & would vac all floors & furniture. Wash windows inside & out and remove all trash. Needless to say I was thrilled because I am disabled & not able to do alot of cleaning. Rica & norma showed up. They didn't do anymore than I would have done. In the first 30 minutes my husbands fan light globe was dropped & smashed and one of the fan blades was broken off. Two windows had the curtains pulled loose from the walls. They used our sweeper & dust mop and mopped the floor not scrubed as promised. They used our paper towels & left the garbage on the side porch. I called Herbert to tell him about it and he said Rica had not told him anything about it. He said he would call her & call me right back. I'm still waiting!!!! I would NEVER use these people again and forget referring them to anyone. I'd love to get our $200.00 back, but I guess my husband & I can forget that too.
herbert from summit cleaning services is nothing but a liar i talked to him about a industrieal sweeper that i had for sale he said he was interestsd to buy it and he would meet me to purchase the unit he never showed up or even had the guts to call me back i called the company two times and he still did not return my calls he should be fired, this is no way to operate a buisness if he lied like this would you trust him in your place of buisness or your home?i have also seen anouther bad review about this herbert on anouther websight
SHIFTY LAZY UNTRUSTWORTHY DISRESPECTFUL LIARS: LIARS!!! Did not finish the job. Damaged the furniture. Made an even bigger mess. Got lost on Rt-81 before even showing up the first day. They showed over an hour and a half late-making me late for work.
Why were they not given the simple directions from their main office before starting?
(Multi-day job)-They showed up at the house a number of times with no equipment or supplies. They even used our paper towels, ladder and old broken vacum cleaner.
Three workers started complaing about the extent of the job before even starting. One kid said that he would not go into the basement or the attic because he was "scared". We told him that there was nothing to be afraid of, just turn all of the lights on.
On the first day they did not lock the back door even after asking me if they could leave it unlocked. I said no, please lock all of the doors but they didn't. The cleaning crew LIED TO US, saying they were still at the house after 9 pm finishing up. We drove around for four hours just waiting for them to finish. Little did we realize, they were not even at the house during this entire wild goose chase. Later I found out that they left the house at 5:18 pm.
They damaged an antique cedar cabinet by using to store cleaning chemicals on and they stood up on it CRACKING IT RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE. Broke parts of a book case off and threw it into the trash.
Made a even bigger mess of the house.
They continued to show up with no equipment or supplies & kept trying to use our old broken vacum cleaner. They used our ladder. They also used five rolls of our paper towels. Why were they not given their own supplies?
Multi-day job-No call/No show for one whole week.
I finally got a call late one Friday evening saying sorry that he didn't call all week, he dropped his cell phone into swimming pool. One excuse after another. He said he would meet me at the house early Tuesday morning.
Monday morning he called telling me he was on the way to the house.
I said but we where supposed me meet Tuesday-he said that he could get pressure washer only on this day.
So then we met and walked around the house for 5 or 10 minutes noting what needed to still get done. Herbert then said, "Oh, I gotta go back to Clarks Summit to get the pressure washer, i'll be back in 20 minutes. Ricci will stay here at the house to clean". Two hours later, Herbert did not return & Ricci was nowhere to be found. I then called Herbert trying to find out what was going on. I never even got a call back. So I tried to call and talk to his boss Mr. Jacob McKingley but continued to get Herbert's cell phone/voice mail. I told him that I was very upset and frustrated and intend to report his company to the Better Business Bureau. That didn't seem to matter to him. I still have yet to receive a call from him or anyone in this company. So then I did just that. I reported SUMMIT CLEANERS to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
I have yet to hear from anyone from Summit Cleaners about my concerns.
They do not treat customers with respect. They continued to mess me up with scheduling by saying that they would be at the house but failed to show countless times.
I am very aggravated with Herbert McKingley, Summit Cleaners and their entire staff. I refuse to pay for the total lack of professionalism, disrespect, missed work, damaged furniture, stress & aggravation.
Too bad that it had to be like this. My wife and I were really looking forward to moving into our newly purchased home. Summit Cleaners put us back a good two months.
