Stopped for an adult beverage and a burger with my bud. The burger was run of the mill and nothing to mention, but the table was as sticky as my 3 year olds face after dinner. The service was non existent and there was some drama between the waitress and the bartender, kinda distracting, we left after that, there are better options in town.
My husband and I recently came here and I was disappointed in the food. It was burnt, and didn't taste right - not a good meal for the price at all. I could make better in my own house.
David's Bistro is a much better bet for food - a chef who is a chef. But the atmosphere is fun if you just want to drink.
We have been twice and both times have not been pleased. The food is OK unless you order your burger well done. The burgers are burnt. The soup was cold, and then it came back so hot it was scoarching. When I asked for a glass or ice water to cool my mouth, the waitress forgot and I had to ask twice. Most of the time we were there, there was no staff anywhere to be found, except for the person eating their dinner at the back table. Watched the waitress walk out to deliver food and leave the bar unattended. The soup arrived 1 minute before the main course. Every table in the place was dirty. Ketchup bottle was empty, but couldn't find anyone to ask for more. So sorry, I spent $35.00 in this place. Have coupons for it, but won't be using them. A total waste of retail space in Antioch.
Cindy,
I sincerely apologize for your experience. We have recently took over the restaurant and occasionally, during this learning process, are not as "fine tuned" as we could hope for. I would ask that you please give us another chance, I think you will be happy if you do. We have brought on a new chef, and I have been managing the bar/restaurant. We are working through the ups and downs of buying a previously owned business, in which employees are used to the way "things used to be". Please send me your address, and I will send you a gift card with our apologies. Also, if you could please tell me the day, when this happened, and who was working I would really like to make sure that this problem is addressed. Thank you for choosing The Lodge for your dining selection and I sincerely hope you will try us again.
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you,
Megan Johnson
