As a Brazilian, it was a very nice surprise to find such a nice place to eat. The food is very good and the service was good as well. The strange thing is that when I tried to talk to the manager to compliment him/her, the cashier told me that was his/her day off, and there was nobody substituting her.
Anyway, I had a very good time eating with some friends and had a lot of fun. The price is very reasonable for the kind of food you get.
Brazil Grill (Portland, Or.) must be one of the finest Brazilian barbecue houses I have ever eaten in. For $ 31.95 you can help yourself to a gourmet salad bar, be served an enormous array of perfectly seasoned meats, shrimps, and that delicious grilled pineapple. Plus you also get served some of Brazil's unique side dishes. I have paid over $ 50.00 for similar places and the food was not as good. The moment you enter the restaurant you are greeted by smiling staff members who want to make sure that you are well cared for. I will go back there any time I have house guests to take out to dinner or for any special occasion, for the experience there is unique.
The food is good, but there are a few things that they should change. First, there is really no free parking in the back. My friends and I confidently drove to the back parking lot and found that there were about 3 spaces that were not reserved and of course all 3 were full.
The second is that they will not accept calls from blocked numbers. I find this to be a very interesting practice for a business. This seems to be a fairly strange move from a business that should not need to capture my phone number before deciding to allow me a reservation. Just make sure you unblock your number before calling for a reservation, be prepared to find street parking, only then will you be able to enjoy their tasty food.
