User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is a nice, small, friendly restaurant. I have been here a few times, and I will continue to go back. They have very good food, and have great customer service! I wish the restaurant was bigger because going on a fri/sat night, good luck! But, it's definitely worth the wait!

This was on a Saturday at 5pm. The restaurant was already crowded. (For a reason!) Both of us ordered dishes we had not seen in any other Mexican restaurant. Service was great and the food was excellent. The cabbage salsa was an added plus.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhile spending a week at nearby Angels Camp, I made the mistake of trying a Mexican restaurant there that had been reccomended by a travel; advisory service on the Internet. It was HORRIBLE. But, upon getting the word from an employee at the resort we were staying at, went to nearby MURPHYS which is only 8 miles away and had a wonerful mexican dinner at El Jaredin. This tiny place serves wonderful food...and the young wait staff was attentive and fun. Highly reccomended to folks who want an authentic mexican meal.
