Great sushi! Me and my family have our weekly get togethers here often as I am a sushi fiend. I typically only order sushi, and the freshness and variety of sushi they have in this place is great. We try a different type of sushi or roll every time we go here.
My only complaints is that if you do order sushi, it can take a bit of time before it actually makes it to your plate. Since I am the only person in my family who almost strictly orders sushi when we go here, I am often the last person at the table to get their food. If you order appatizers and the like it usually doesn't cause any problems, but it still kind of sucks to have to sit there and wait for your food while everyone else around you is eating. Also, just about every time we have been there they have been out of many of their dessert dishes. No matter how full I am, or how much the food "itis" has hit me, I always like to end my meals with a little sweet treat, and their lack of desserts is kind of a downer after having such a great meal.
For those who aren't into the raw fish, they have a ton of both innovative and traditional cooked Japanese foods such as their fully cooked sushi rolls, noodle bowls and dinner combos.
Great Japanese restaraunt!
Great sushi, nice place by a beautiful lake. Good service. I love the Dragon roll.
Price is about 30 pp.
Matsuri is hit or miss. I spent 40 minutes waiting for a to-go order once because they were short on sushi chefs. Then when I got home the teriyaki was cold, there was no dressing on the salad and the fish was NOT fresh. I always order the nachos, but somedays are better that others. I had to spit out my first bite, it was super fishy. If you happen to be there on a good day,the young wait staff is friendly, but service is slow, and the food can be very good. Other times, the sushi rice is dry and the rolls fall apart. One good thing I can say is that they have "kids" chopsticks for families with kids or beginning sushi fans. Overall, I think I'll have to move on and find another sushi house that remains consistent.
