I haven't been to Open Sesame Yet, but i don't think i'll ever go as long as Sunnin is open. i went there the other day for lunch. it was really good.
I got the steak Kabob and my friend got the Chicken Kabob. both were excellent.
the service was great. the place was cool.
I recommend it

A Tale of Two Lebanese Restaurants: There are two Lebanese restaurants on 2nd St in Long Beach across the street from each other, Sunnin and Open Sesame. While Open Sesame is larger and more popular (translated, long wait), Sunnin is surprisingly far superior. Sunnin offers authentic dishes in a laid-back setting. While Open Sesame may have fancier tablecloths and tacky pagers (for that long wait), the food is, at best, disappointing. Case in point: the garlic sauce, a light yet flavorful affair at Sunnin compares to garlic-flavored mayonnaise at the other place. The exquisite hummus at Sunnin turns into mashed chickpeas from a can at the restaurant across the street. So can someone explain to me why the second street crowd apparently prefer to frequent Open Sesame? Oh, wait, I get itâitâs the second street crowdâ¦

I love Sunnin's and what a great review... My fiance' and I used to frequent Open Sesame, until we found this gem just down the street. Ever since we found this place we've never been back to Open Sesame. The food is terrific and the shwarma was perfectly cooked. the service was excellent. I actually found Sunnins interior much classier and cuter as opposed to the "harem chic" you get acroos the street.
