User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Village Grind espresso bar & cafe was established by Liz & Bill Rigney in 2002. It was in a small suite in the "antiques" building on Evergreen st. They moved the "grind" to its present location and sold it to Ed in 2004. Ed sold it in 2007. I hear the new owners are doing well there and I hope they continue to do so. There are two more VG's, one in Yreka, and now one in Redding.

Very comfortable coffee house / restaurant in Wrightwood. Great selection of coffee and the first re-fill is free! Lots of food choices, free wi-fi, art gallery, friendly fast service, clean place! Fun place to relax and hang out

I was impressed by the selection of coffees, the food and the service. The prices were good---single orgin coffee and a cinnamon roll for under $5.00! Great art gallery, although it's a bit small, the pieces were beautiful at what I considered a fair price. Free WiFi too! Talked to one of the owners---I was impressed. French press is a nice touch.
