User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTios is my all-time favorite for mexican food. We eat there at least twice a month. They are always very nice. I have never had any problems with anyone. My favorites are their carnitas platter and carne asada tacos.
There is always a line to order which is a statement on how good their food is. I love that it is basically a fast food restaurant, but the seating is definitely not that of a fast food restaurant since their seating is on butcher block tables with mexican-type wooden chairs.
My favorite place is the one on Day Creek, but if I want to go close to home, I will sometimes visit their restaurant on Lemon avenue off of Haven.
I just wish they were open later.-

I love Tio's food and their service. I am a white male, blond hair etc. and the two managers have been nothing but gracious to me. I'm always greetd with a smile and a "where have you been?" if I haven't been in for a week or so. Great food, great service!

Food is great however we have had not so great service with one employee. I believe he is the manager, a male hispanic in his 50's. My husband and I are an inter-racial couple and each time my husband orders he is rude, doesn't look at him or me and snags the money out of his hand. He give us the change back on the counter. We have been watching his actions towards non hispanic customers and his behavior is similar toward them. During the same visits he is extra polite to hispanic customers. We continue to go because we don't want to believe what we are seeing. We hope this isn't what our gut feeling is telling us. Has anyone else had this experience?

I'm glad to hear that. I'm wondering if maybe it's just the combination of latina and african american that makes him act this way toward us. We have seen just the one manager act rude to other caucasian customers too. Everytime we go we notice this. We have been going to this facility since they opened and we continue to go because of the food. One manager told me that this is his personality, I hope he is right.
