Last week I took a sample off a bedroom wall color to three local hardware/paint stores to try & match in order to just do some patch work. The paint was on the wall when I moved in & in good condition. I could tell that it might be a challange due to the color in a lime/yellow shade. Two major hardware supply stores, I'll just refer to as L & HD where it was difficult to even get a clerk to help and neither could not come close,with a match. So I went to S.W. a very pricy paint store with no luck even after putting the swatch in their computer system. A friend said have you tried Kelly Moore? Oh that's right I said they are out on the edge of town & I forget about them. I walked in the door to "Hello Mam how are you today how can I help you." I replied "not good I afraid" When I handed (Jack R. his name tag read/Store Mgr.)him the swatch he went to work. Now I was there a bit. The store even closed at 6:00 PM that Friday but they locked the doors & he said "no problem if you're not in a hurry were not either to find you the right paint." Let me tell my husband in the car w/Jake our doggy.
I not only felt like a special customer but that he was working his best to match my paint. Sure enough he found a match, not on a color card they have in store but through the computer he nailed it. Now I thought I'd need only a quart but Jack assured me I was not going to be happy with the type I thought I was going to need in the sheen so I had to buy a gallon which only came in the right sheen for my wall. I was not only OK to spend more money but confident that I had a match. Now why couldn't S.W. have done the same?? I won't forget the kindness of Jack but his expertise & when I need paint in the future I'll easily go to the end of town to Kelly Moore.
Jack then carried the paint out to the car, met my husband who was very grateful as well that I was now happy.
Thanks Again Jack you were TERRIFIC! Hey I won't tell everyone that you carry paint out to the car too!!
