Johnny B I disagree with you. They had the Mothers Day Brunch there which you failed to mention. I thought the brunch was GREAT!!!!! It was priced right and there was a wonderful variety of food. I have to say I spoke to John the manager who is a wonderful person and he tells me that they are trying to do everything to make this place become popular again. I wish them luck and much success!!!!
I predict Larisons will not be around for a long time! We went there for Mothers Day it was disgusting and the service was horrendous! We loved the Puddingstone, the food was great, it had atmosphere and the owners were really nice people. Tried the Publick House to at least these people are consistant!
My wife and I frequently go to Larison's. The people who run the place are far friendlier than the ogres who ran Puddingstone. We are always seated right away, and if the waiter happens to be busy at times, the manager, John, always appears and asks if he can get us anything. My wife always has the sirloin steak, which is very good. I love their grilled salmon. My mother-in-law had the lobster salad and raved about it. The coffee we had was some of the best I've tasted recently, and the dessert was very good. One funny thing happened. My friend wanted to have wings with extra hot sauce, describing how hot he wanted it to be to the waiter, who kindly said he's go back and see to it. Ten minutes later, out came that hot sauce - just the hot sauce - no wings. It was a Seinfeld moment to be sure, but we all had a good laugh, and the error was quickly corrected. At any rate, we saw a few friends there, and we all decided to stay and listen to the music. It was exceptional. These two guys, Jay and Vern, played all kinds of songs from toe tappers to heart breaking ballads. The guitar playing was awesome, and the singing was great. We all stayed till the band stopped, and because the place was full, they played an extra half hour.
New places have growing pains, and I'm sure they have had their bad nights, but we have always enjoyed ourselves, and plan to be there this weekend.
