I decided to schedule an appointment with this salon because I was looking for a salon and stylist that was closer to my parents' house when I'm home for the summer. I had always wanted to try the place because I thought the front looked cute; however, I had never seen any of their work before, so I risked it by trying them.
I scheduled a hair cut with Angie. She is very friendly, btw. She did a absolutely fantastic job! And I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my hair. Also the prices there aren't bad. A hair cut is $30 (a lot better than $55 that I was paying my stylist in Knoxville).
I would and have recommended this place to numerous people. They are fabulous!
I booked this hair salon based on a recommendation from a local spa. I was a destination bride and was looking for a trendy spot in the area for my entire bridal party to get up-do's and make-up. I could not find any recommendations online for this salon, so I chose to book based on good word of mouth.
I booked my appointments several months in advance with a confirmed
time of 11:30. The salon actually called me the week prior to my wedding to confirm the appointments starting at 11:30. I was really impressed by this action and had no worries about the hair salon that I chose.
The wedding day came and we got stuck in a bit of traffic. The traffic in the Sevierville/Gatlinburg area on a Saturday is very heavy. We arrived only 10 minutes late for our 11:30 appointment to find the salon closed. The salon did not call me to check in on us before assuming that we were "no shows" and closing the store. The salon had my cell phone number. They could have at least left a note.
Luckily, we found a phone book and called around to make other
arrangements. The bridal party had to split up between two different salons. My hair turned out fantastic and a local department store did my make-up.
My husband and I stopped into the salon after the wedding.
Unfortunately the owner was not working. I was told that they had me scheduled for 11:00 even though we confirmed 11:30 twice prior to the wedding. Either way the salon should have called before closing for the day.
They always say that things happen for a reason. It did not ruin my wedding day, however I want to leave the first review to warn future brides and clients of their "service". It was obvious that the employees did not want to work on that Saturday and made an excuse to leave early. Salons are typically open for set hours. This salon must be an exception.
