This is STILL the best place to eat in the area. It has great food selections, friendly waitstaff, and atmosphere like no other area in the surrounding counties.
We visit often, take all our friends and family there.
When it first opened it was awesome and you could not ask for a better steak. Not the case anymore. Smoky's has just fallen through the cracks and does not stand out as a nice place to eat as it use to. What a shame, such a nice looking place. The staff is good, minus a few, so if you want a so, so meal for a high price this would be the place. I do have to say the service is better than any in the Dandridge area.

I agree. it USED to be a great place to eat. These days it seems that they don't have half of what is offered on the menu. For reasons unknown, nothing seems to be in stock. What kind of a barbecue restaurant runs out of ribs and steaks on such a regular basis? It's not as though there are THAT many customers lined up at the door. Keep your ears open to listen to all of the local gossip that is discussed openly and loudly on the serving floor. It's the tastiest and juiciest part of the place, and it's absolutely free.
My husband and I were looking for something other than fish one Friday night and ended up at Smoky's. Best thing that every happened to us. Can't think of one single thing to complain about. You should go in the summer and walk to the lake. Makes a perfect evening.
