I do alot of traveling and have eaten at a lot of fine resturants, this ones at the top,The chef is extrodinary, the building beautiful. The chefs staff was very friendly and provided good service. The co-owner was there as well and made me fill rite at home.
I stumbled on this place while taking a group of church ladies to the local history museum at the little train depot. The food and preparation is nothing short of astonishing. Hartsville, a little town in a small county east of Nashville, is amazingly lucky to have this restaurant, and this young man who has accomplished an amazing feat in opening and operating this wonderful restaurant. It's a beautiful old home, but the food is so good and so reasonably priced you hardly notice the decor. I've never had anything that wasn't wonderful. I've been back 5 times, and I live in Murfreesboro, a good hour and a half away. Instead of taking out of town guest into Nashville, Tully's has become the place we alway go now for special occasions. The menu changes often, and if you ever get to order the cold kiwi-strawberry soup, don't miss it! My favorite MIddle Tennessee restaurant!
Awful! 1 star only because i can't give it a 0
I don't know what standards the other reviewer has but they must be a heck of a lot lower than mine and my husband's.
We went on valentine's day 08.
Burnt food and poor service - no non-beef option for a starter (no choice but to have set menu).
We were the only people in the dining room when we ordered, the other group (6 people in total) having left around 10 minutes after we arrived.
I would have hoped a restaurant with a specific (and very spartan) set menu for a celebratory day would have coped with a table for 2.
The meal came to over $70 and was so uninspiring, I wanted to leave and never go back - and I have not returned.
My husband's steak had been burnt to a crisp despite ordering medium rare. They had placed it burnt side down but he said it tasted disgusting.
We sent it back and the chef came out to apologize, however, his apology also very oddly included a long speech about his ability to cook steak and implied that the steak was fine, it was my husband who was wrong.
Awful experience and I expected so much more.

I do not feel as this is true... why wait till two month after to give a review. Never implied that a guest was wrong.
