User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWe tried it on my birthday - just an average weekday lunch - no holiday. It was the worst day of my whole year!!!!! We waited over 40 minutes for a table which could have been okay except the staff was rude! We felt we were not guests but burdens on them. Once at a table I thought things would be better with all the great reviews I read, but it was NOT. We had to wait another 20 minutes for our orders to be taken, then our food took an hour!!!! After 45 minutes I reminded them how long we had been waiting and the server did not offer an apology or explanation, but stated that that was not uncommon in an establishment of this sort. I was floored! He was completely unsympathetic! We did not order anything fancy in their glorified Subway type restaurant - we ordered breakfast - simple omlets, pancakes and potatoes. Nothing that takes me that long to make. Their food is not that different or special to endure such a long wait and rude service. If you have kids, definitely do NOT go. Not only for the unhuman wait but also their is no room inbetween tables. We were all uncomfortable in every way. I walked out but some in our party paid for their food to go - which they should have given to us for ruining not only our last day in Boone but my birthday as well. Go ANYwhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We recently had breakfast at Melanie's and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great food, great coffee, great service!

The servings are generous, food is fresh and you should definitely check this place out. The fresh oj, bread and omlettes are all excellent. it's nice to have a breakfast option downtown that offers fresh and healthy food
