User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat historic atmosphere built around the old railroad depot. Inside seating and menu holders were pulled out of an old church, and fit into the decor of the restaurant well. Outdoors shows a great view of the downtown fountain and rolling hills. Food is usually great. One of the only nice places in town to eat. The first comment by Dave P... could that be the owner Dave Poole? Oh well, at least the man knows he has a good thing going.

Been here a few times, great historic location, great drinks, the food is a little pricey but always tastes great. Unlike other local dives, you always see their logo sponsoring local events, high schools etc.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere: My wife and I were driving through downtown Lynchburg the other night and saw this sign for the Depot Grill. There is some construction going on down by the railroad tracks but the parking was well marked and it was just a short walk to get to the restaurant. Once there we were seated quickly by a very friendly hostess and our server was fantastic. The prices on the menu were moderate but they offered a good variety. The quality of the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was just right for good conversation.
