I don't live in Charlotte, NC but happened to be there on business two weeks ago. Someone suggested that we go to Luigi's and raved about the pizza. I have eaten New York pizza many times, and I have to say that, first of all, I could not believe the size of the pie - and the individual slices!! When I took my first bite, I thought I had died and gone to pizza heaven. The crust was a bit crunchy and thin, and the FLAVOR.......!!!! I haven't eaten pizza since. I'm waiting to get back to Charlotte, because unless I'm in New York, I don't expect to taste pizza that good AGAIN!!!!

Good pizza and good service. Reminds me of the NY Style Pizza back home.

New York style, but no where near New York tasting! This afternoon we picked up a pizza from Luigi's and some of their garlic bread with "sauce". This pizza is by far worse than the shrink wrapped pizza they sell at Wal Mart.

Luigi's is so bad, that it's 3:40AM and I am up with the pizza still rolling around in my stomach. The pizza tasted like some sort of preservative had been applied. Did the pizza sauce come from China? Because it sure tasted like some funky chemical.

The garlic bread is proof that Luigi's doesn't even try. The thing (and yes, it was a 'thing' because real Italian garlic bread never comes in a loaf) was a loaf of bread cut in half with some powder garlic spread over butter. How plain, simple--and disgusting! The bread's sauce--let's just say that store bought canned Ragu is a million times better.

Luigi's is "the best pizza in Charlotte" because there's not much to chose from in this city. Famous Famiglia in New York makes better pizza, better garlic bread--better everything. The Big Cheese in Miami makes awesome pizzas and out of this world garlic bread. But Luigi's, they don't even try. They just slap it all together and call it a pizza. How disgusting!

You don't write anything good about any place. South Florida for pizza? Please. Miami wouldn't know anything culinary if it slapped them upside the head. I lived there for a while and just about every place was awful, especially the pizza places. Next you are going to tell me that Miami Subs makes the best subs.

Hey M - Miami Subs makes the best Subs! If you don't like someone's opinion about a dump like Luigi's Pizza then swallow it up because no one here cares about your bashing! Little Caesars pizza taste a million times better than Luigi's road kill. You're obviously the typical Charlotte complacent that lacks the taste and standards to know what's good and what's not!

Typical Charlotte complacent? Please. I am not native to Charlotte and know the best pizza such as La Nova: Pizza and Pasta Magazine: #1 Independent Pizzeria in the U.S. Pizza Today Magazine: Top 100 independents in the U.S. www.lanova.com While Luigi's may not compare to that, Little Caeser's is sh*t. The ownner cares more about his hockey and baseball teams than making a good pie. Little Caeser's is disgisting. So Andy and Seb, what competing pizza place do you work at? Fuel? Lorenzo's? I find it odd that almost everyone on here has rated them highly and after they win best pie in Charlotte, you come on here bashing them.
