User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTheir cajun fair is absolutely wonderful!! Ribs do not fall off the bone like at Pierce's BBQ, but the food is fantastic if you want more than just the standard BBQ pit.

My wife and parents just got back from an amazing meal at the Hog Wild Smokehouse. On the way out there, we stopped along the side of the road to ask some locals where it was, and they asked "where are ya'll from?!" They were surprised we knew about the Hog Wild Smokehouse, because it seems to be a local secret. They pointed us the right way and assured use we were in for a GREAT meal!
More than just a BBQ pit, the HW Smokehouse has all kinds of delicious southern comfort food and cajun plates too. They were recently voted the best new restaurant in Williamsburg, and we could see why: amazing bbq (we had pulled pork, ribs, and chicken,) great onion rings, the best cajun gumbo and fried oysters I have ever had, cold beer, and all for less than you would pay at a chain restuarant.
All their BBQ is slow smoked with a dry rub. Then they bring six homemade bbq sauces to your table to add wet sauce as you please. Everything is homemade and the service was great! Dont miss this local gem! 
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGood food, great service. MUCH BETTER THAN PIERCE'S PITT. It's off the beaten path, but if you want a little backwoods place with it's own charm, this is for you. It has a variety of sauces, Ribs, Pulled pork, brisket, gumbo, catfish, you name it. You can sit down and get a beer!
