THE BEST oriental food ever! I cant say just chinese because they have a different variety of oriental foods, not just chinese. (Hunan, Cantonese, Szechuan, Japanese) We have 3 chinese restuauants close to us and we drive to Elgin to go to China Wok. No one, even in columbia, compares to China Woks amount of food they give you, the excellent price, and the quality of food.

I stopped by a local chinese place here just this past week (2008) in where the the Belks Shopping Center is. Thier house fried rice was almost 3 dollars more then China Wok and it was bland, bland, bland with a total of 4 shrimp in a large container. That was no value and I was so sorry I was having a lazy day and didnt drive to Elgin. My taste buds paid for it.

There is a place in Lugoff, decent, but again, bland food and not much variety. Another is right off 2 Notch RD in Columbia and maybe they worry to much about so many different foods on the buffet tables and less on the quality. (Pre made out of a box and heated up is not real chinese food, its factory made)

The staff and owners at China Wok are personable, friendly, cater to whatever way you want your food cooked, and they always smile! I adore oriental food and I promise you that China Wok is worth the drive! Give your taste buds an experience they will treasure forever! You owe it to yourself and your family to get the best food for the best value and the best people cooking it in a clean enviroment!

I am a China Wok patron and have been since the day we stopped there a couple years now. If I ever get anything you thought wasnt up to par, they will make it right and go out of thier way to make it better. You cant go wrong with this very kind and courteous resturaunt! Give them a try at least one time. You wont be dissapointed.

China Wok takes pride in the food they serve and make it while you wait. They stay open late and are OPEN ON SUNDAYS also, a huge bonus in my book!

Try the crab ragoon, its wonderful. The B-B-Q ribs are full of flavor and not tid bit sized shriveled meat. The Seafood Delight (shrimp, scallops, lobster, crab and veggies) is excellent! Full pieces of crab and lobster!. The Hunan Beef (a hot dish they will make mild if you ask) is a huge portion and smack full of flavor. The Lemon Chicken is crisp and fresh and has the most perfect lemon flavor. Try all of the Hibachi dishes! Ive tried each one (my fav is chicken & steak) Oh they are fantastic! Moo Shu pork is a ton of pork with veggies and pancakes (you roll it like a tortilla). Even the chicken wings are big and never dried out! You get 4 for under 3 dollars. The Won Ton soup comes chock full of won tons and pork slices. They even have 5 diffrent diet dishes if you are on a special diet or trying to lose weight.

Give China Wok a try today! You wont be sorry. Special Occations or just dinner on the way home, you cant go wrong with China Woks food or prices! Call ahead and its all ready and bagged when you get there.

!! EXCELLENT !!: My wife and I eat here from once a week to several times a week. The service is Superior. The food has THE Best Taste and Value for your money. They are quick to get your order done, and its accurate. When you call in, and they say 10 minutes, its done in 10 minutes.

The variety of food, from Appetizers and Chinese fair, to the Japanese hibachi and vast array of Combination Plates, are enough to make any tastebud feel it is in food heaven. They have Chinese, Hunan, Cantonese, Szechuan & Japanese Cuisine.

The attitude of the owners & employees is always friendly, upbeat, and a joy to be around. There is always a smile and a huge thank you from them to you. You get the feeling you are the number one customer each time you go in, even if its only once in a blue moon. Thats a rare experience in today's "get it quick" enviroment.

When so many other restaurants in the area close at 9pm and have short hours on weekends, or dont open at all, China Wok is open 7 days a week till 10:30pm, and they stay open till 11:30 on Friday & Saturday nights. Sunday is a great treat as they are open till 10:30 pm and its a nice way to highlight the day.

We recommend you try All the dishes at least once, because not doing so would be an injustice to your mouth, but dont miss trying the house special friend rice, steamed dumplings, egg drop soup, house special lo mein, hunan pork, shrimp with snow peas, lemon chicken, seafood delight, house special moo shu, general Tso's chicken, crab rangoon, hibachi chicken & steak, and the bbq ribs to name a few. The chicken wings are big, fried beautiful golden brown, and never dried out.

The food is always moist and full flavored. There is enough in a large order to feed any hungry stomach. They dont skimp on portion size at all!!

If you need to substitute something due to a special diet restriction or allergy, ask them. They are always willing to go that extra mile for you. They even have a menu selection of Diet Plates in case your dieting or have diet restrictions. You can still order out and eat from the same place as your family. For migraine sensative people, they Dont use MSG in thier food either! If you want a large portion of one item without the side choices, they are also willing to make that for you.

All the ways you look around, this is an A - 1 restaurant!! In our opinion, China Wok is far better then any of the oriental style restaurants weve tried from Sumter to Columbia!

They are very family friendly. Even if you have a child who is a picky eater, they will find at least one food dish that makes them easy to take there and order from again.
