Fratellis doesn't honor their Buy one get one free dinner coupon!

Very disappointed in our visit to Fratellis. The food was typical italian but overpriced. When we presented our two for one coupon we were told that it didn't apply for the special. Couldn't understand this because the special was $5 less than the entree that we would pay full price for. The manager coped an attitude and said that he didn't want to even publish the coupons, but felt forced to. He said that the coupons were to get the new customers to come in and try the dinner entrees. We were a first time customer and we did order 2 of the dinner entres. We were told that we could use the coupon on our next visit. When we said that we would not return he turned very ugly and said that he wasn't going to argue with us. With customer service like this, Fratellis will probably be out of business before anyone reads this review.

***** Coupon Holders Beware *****

We have passed by the Fratelli's restaurant several times driving through the Baxter Village in Fort Mill and the other night we decided to stop and give it a try for the first time. We arrived at approx. 6:00pm and were given the dinner menu when we were seated in which the Lasagna dinner dish and the Chicken Piccata dinner dish were ordered. The lasagna was good however the Chicken Piccata was surprisingly bland in taste. When we asked if anything could be done to improve the taste a plate of artichokes were brought out which made the dish at least tolerable.
However the most disappointing part of the evening was when the bill arrived we noticed that they failed to honor their coupon for a free dinner with the purchase of another dinner advertised in the Citipass Coupon Book. We thought that this must be a mistake and kindly asked to speak with the owner of the restaurant. When the owner spoke with us, he said that only 7 specific items listed under the Dinner Entrees would qualify. Therefore this EXCLUDES ALL of their Dinner Pasta Italiane dishes such as Bolognese, Fettuccini Alfredo, Ravioli / Tortellini, etc... along with all of their House Specials, such as Lasagna, Manicotti, Baked Ziti, Eggplant Parmigiana, all of their New York and Pan Pizza's and any Daily specials they have!!!! I felt that this was very much like a Bait and Switch tactic with this restaurant's coupon, they get you in the door thinking that you can purchase 1 dinner item and get the 2nd dinner item free up to a $ 19.00 value, however they fail to explain that only a few items qualify for this coupon and when the bill shows up the full amount it charged. I tried to politely explain to the owner that this must be a mistake as we were ordering off their dinner menu which clearly states that these were dinner dishes. I was surprised when even the owner mentioned that these coupons were to help get people into the restaurant but that only certain items were going to be honored which should have been explained to us when we first arrived which the waitress failed to do. Given this information I asked for the owner to honor our coupon as this information was not communicated to us. The owner simply asked us if we would return, I mentioned that we would return only if they honored the coupon, if they didn't honor the coupon we would NOT return. Needless to say we will NEVER go back to this restaurant again.
There are too many other restaurants who actually care about their clientele’s satisfaction especially on a first visit that we would much rather give our patronage to and it will NOT be Fratelli's again.

My wife and I go to Fratellis about once a month. We live in Baxter, so its very convienent. Its also VERY good. We both really enjoy eating there. I have to agree though, the service can be a bit subpar, but recently we have gotten good waiters! Overall, great italian rest. in a great neighborhood.
