Cold beer, yes. Otherwise a mediocre attempt at real cajun food. The shrimp have been overcooked on two separate visits, and the Boudin is not close to what you can get from a Zatarain's dirty rice kit at the local grocery, nor is it as consistent on the flavor.

Make sure the Royal Reds are in fact Royal Reds. They have been known to slip in some smaller crustacean imitators.

The place has a good bar atmosphere.

We live in Missouri and would LOVE to have one of these restaurants to go to ! Beautiful restaurant - super busy and fun! Royal Reds are WAY better than lobster - sweet, fresh and wonderful. The Boudin and bacon wrapped shrimp are to die for. Beer is COLD - drinks are perfect. After all the fabulous appetizers, hard to even handle ordering dinner ! The enchiladas I know are incredible - the service is impecable.

I won't go back!!: Me and hubbie decided to try this place since my cousin recommended it. Well it wasn't all of that. We started out with the crab cakes appetizer. It was 2 crab cakes for $9.95. I didn't particularly care for the taste. It was kinda of mushy. Then I got a oyster po boy and hubbie got the seafood platter. The oyster po boy was on french bread which made it difficult to eat. So I just took the fried oysters off. It had come with a choice of cajun slaw I believe or dirty rice. The dirty rice had livers in it. I had read about it on the table. I asked for something else. I decided to get Fried green tomatoes. How can you go wrong right? Wrong!! They did. It had some kind of seasoning on it. It didn't taste good.Don't mess with a southern girl's fried green tomatoes. Up the Creek has the best green tomatoes in my opinion. Hubbie's seafood platter had a piece of fried catfish, frog legs, fried clams, and fried oysters. He said it was okay. I tasted the catfish I have had better. The only good thing was the service was pretty good. I didn't even know where the bathroom was. All I can say is I didn't like the food so I won't go back and the prices were a bit high for what you got.
