Grand China Buffet

As buffets go, this is one of the best in the 'Burg: both the expected & unexpected on the buffet; significant other always gets a big serving of crab legs so we get our bill's worth. We first discovered it when it opened those first days after Katrina and have been back frequently. Everyone on staff has always been welcoming, friendly and very attentive.

Of course it's not going to be the same as ordering off a menu! But as others have said, the sushi is surprisingly good for a buffet, and it has the to-order bar (fill up a plate of raw ingredients & they'll stir fry it for you!) and a nice selection of salads. Come on, what more can you ask?

Went to this place when it first opened, even though something told me not to try a buffet. Walked in and it smelled really good. Walking back to be seated the floor was covered in food. Got my food (noticed a kid eating straight off of buffet) and sat down to eat. All three people including me could not eat the food, it tasted terrible. We got up a left after that.

Satisfactory. The food is o.k., but I would recommend trying some other places first. In my opinion, the price does not justify the quality of the food.
