...had lunch on a weekday afternoon in May 2009... good service, good food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. I recommend it.

Right in downtown Lake Wales, this little french bistro is perfect for a quick lunch or romantic dinner. Well decorated with a informal cafe style area and a much more romantic dinner area. As well it has a typical bistro bar where you can get a petite bite, dessert or coffee.

We had lunch which consisted of a hearty portion of french onion soap and a small pate' plater. Then followed by sandwiches on fresh baked breads. The chicken salad sandwich with cranberriers was excellent. They seem to pay as much attention to the detail of the food as they do the detail of the decor. The young woman chef can be seen in the kitchen through a large glass window.

Finish with dessert by selecting from the dessert cooler some of the various small bite or two sized eclaires, lemon squares, rasberry pasteries or pistachio tarts.

This is not a pretencious french resturant. This is a nice family oriented bistro. Take friends or family and enjoy it. Guys relax, the better half will enjoy it and yes they have beef dishes on the menu.

Great food, great dessert, fresh breads, great attentive staff with attention to details. Go there, don't miss out.

By the way "Tres Jolie" means "Very Pretty".
