Viva Mexico! Good authentic mexican food on the main dishes. The expected chips and salsa are served before the meal. The Flauntas and Chimichangas was prepared perfectly with the Cimi fried to a golden brown. What did no hit the mark was side dish stables. The refried beans and rice, which should add to the main dish, not take away from it. Drinks are refilled often and though there was only one wait staff when we had lunch he was attentive and friendly.
The restaurant is decorated in a Mexican motif to go along with the good mexican food in one of the historic buildings in down town Lake Wales. Decently priced with plenty to eat take the wife and kids and enjoy!
For the gringos in our crowd, "La Herradura" means "The Horseshoe"
Tucked away in downtown Lake Wales La-Herradura is all about charming atmosphere and superb food. I especially loved the quesadillas! Relax, soak up the atmosphere and have a great meal.
