YES! What a place! Do NOT miss this if you are in Naples. Chef/owner Isabel Pozo Polo and her partner and staff have created just about the most perfect small restaurant you can imagine: delightful intimate atmosphere, out-of-the-way location, great food and service, very reasonable prices. It does not get much better than this.
I don't very excited about any new restaurants in Naples these days, they all seem to generate the same ole stuff. Until I walked into Im tapas, that is. Wow! can't say enough...just get there no matter what and try everything. The cheese plates are amazing the Chef/Owner actually brought it to the table and explained what each cheese was made from, where and the process by which it was made...great personal touch and made our whole table feel special. The scallop special with a blood orange sauce...out of this world!!! Prices aren't outrageous either for the quality. My group of cousins from England own homes in the Costa del Sol and they couldn't believe how wonderful the food is at Im Tapas...please keep going and keep them in business!!
DO NOT MISS this wonderful spot! It's away from the main business area, so it doesn't get the attention it deserves. The decor is understated and very tasteful, and the food will delight you. We had the bean stew, stuffed artichoke hearts and seafood paella, all of which were outstanding. The bean stew featured slices of two types of sausage, which added a delicious, smoky taste to the dish. The artichoke hearts were a wonderful blend of flavors--tangy, smoky, creamy and tart; absolutely delightful. And, as another reviewer has mentioned, the paella is fabulous! Richly flavored rice with minced vegetables, a good-sized lobster tail, clams, shrimp, scallops and the largest mussels I've ever seen (but have no fear--they weren't tough, they were silky and tender).
Our waiter was very helpful and personable, the background music added to the overall ambiance, and it was a lovely, lovely meal. I hope everyone will try Im Tapas--it would be a serious loss to the Naples dining scene if it should go!
