I had my carpets cleaned by this company and I can only say good things about it. From my first phone call to finishing the job everything was great.

I had two rooms of carpet cleaned by A&P the tech came exactly as scheduled . I was impressed with the quality and cleanliness of their service. Most of my floors are hardwood and in the past every time I had cleaners in my house I had to clean their footprints. I was really happy when the tech covered the path to the bedroom with sheet. Excellent job.

As the housing market continues to crumble and the economy goes to waste I get a call from a co-worker telling me our company is closing operations in San Jose and a few employees will be relocated... Fortunately I was one of the few to keep my job, unfortunately relocation is in Portland. With no formal education this pay grade is most likely the best I will ever get so I can't quit my job. The bad news is I love Palo Alto with all its parks and trees and restaurants (don't get me started) and can't imagine moving from such a great place. So i bit the bullet and put my home up for sale for much less than I think its worth. My Agent from Alain Pinel recommended I use a cleaning company called "A & P Carpets" with whom they often do business. I scheduled this company to clean my carpets, marble and wax my hardwood floors. The carpets came out fantastic. I have been using ChemDry in the past but they never made my carpets shine as much as A & P. When I asked the technician why the carpets look so much brighter he told me that the solutions they have customized can clean dirt particles below 5 microns. The technician said they were working on a patent to prevent other cleaners from using the same formula. The greates part, especially now that Palo Alto is turning into a GREEN city(hurray), is every cleaning solution the technician used was biodegradable(he showed me the labels). A second A & P van pulled into my driveway as the carpet cleaner was loading his vehicle. It was the Hardwood guy. It only took him 2 hours to completely wax my floor while removing any scuffmarks and somehow hiding scratches on the hardwood from when my dog was a puppy. Once the Hardwood floor was finished the original A & P van pulled into my driveway. The same technician (I think his name was Alex) who cleaned my carpets also had the equipment to clean my marble. Now I had the marble in my entry cleaned before but it wasn't properly sealed. Alex pointed out that if the marble had been properly sealed then water would bead up on the floor rather than be absorbed by the marble. Which makes sense because when I wash my countertops they always look darker once they get wet and if they were properly sealed the marble would stay the same color. Its amazing to me how my technicians could answer any question I threw at them. They were extremely knowledgeable in a time when people are more frequently turning into robots. For instance, I went to Subway the other day and had my usual roast beef sandwich except this time I wanted the whole sandwich toasted, but the clerk said to me that they can only toast the sandwich after the cheese and meat have been added. They can't toast the sandwich once the vegetables and mayonnaise have been added. I asked the clerk why this was and of course he didn't know. Its as if he couldn't think on his own. Sorry I'm rambling. This is why I really liked this company (A & P) because the techs were smart professional and courteous, sounds cliche, but they were really good. Now if I could just convince them to make me a sandwich I would be living in a perfect world, LOL!!!!!!
