O'Leary's was a great experience for us. My husband, Dad, and I went for lunch on Sunday afternoon around 1:00pm. The restaurant was quiet and food came out timely. This could be because we were there at one of the least busy days and times, but the quality of the food was great and our server was very nice - two very important characteristics in a restaurant. The prices are reasonable ($6.00-$12.00 plates) and the desserts are all $5 and definitley reflect excellent quality. I recommend O'Leary's and would certainly go back.
We were so disappointed in this place. When we first sat down, we were excited because everyone's food looked great, and the portions were large. It smelled really good in there, too! However, we were not so lucky. Both my husband and I ordered the Kobe burger. I requested Medium Well, and he asked for Medium. When I cut into my burger (luckily I didn't bite into it first), it was RAW. My husband's was cooked right. I pointed it out to the waitress and she assured me she would get it fixed. When she came back not even two minutes later, she had the same burger, dripping with grease, still on the bloody bun, and it looked like the cook had just put the open faced part on the grill for a minute to make it look 'done'. The waitress then asked if that was ok, and we told her it wasn't b/c the bun was still blood-soaked. She then offered to have it redone. However, again she returned in just a couple of minutes with the same burger on a new bun. I was starving so decided to just eat, but the whole thing was still rare to medium rare throughout. Add to all of this the fact that our waters were never refilled, and the service left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we will never go back. Our money would have been better spent at McDonald's.
Great food for a GREAT price: Their food is out of this world! They give you a huge amount of food for a great price. They have a menu with a lot of different options...from a pub burger to chicken Cesar salad (if the special is Potato Cheddar Soup I recommend you try it). The dinning area is a nice small area that is separated from the bar, if you are going with more than 6 people it might be hard to fit everyone in there but dinner for 2 or 4 is just right.
