Went there for lunch today, was told a few minutes for a table for three......45 minute later i just left...to go back to the office to work, no lunch....what a waste. I have been there a few times and have NEVER gotten a good vibe, that was the last straw. An arrogant waste of time. I HIGHLY SUGGEST BENNEGANS or SUBWAY over this place.....ANYTIME.
Oh yea...and Layla must work there.
Bummed in the Loop
Loved the food. Cool atmosphere. Great location. I will definitely go back soon.
I went to the Gage for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was a busy time to go, so I figured it would be a good test of service. My party of 2 was told that the wait would be about 20-30 minutes. The communication between the hostess and the person seating the parties was poor at best and explains why it took us about 50 minutes to get seated. We were more than upset when we finally got a table. The food ended up being good, but combined with slow and inattentive service, it was not enough to make up for the whole experience. I would recommend going at a slow time so that you can enjoy the food--the beet salad I ordered was delicious.
