Criminal business.
When Austin Property Management took over the management of out Apt complex, the pet owners were issued 30 day notices, we didn t even know that s what it was for until we contacted a very indifferent Stephanie Kramer at Austin Property Management.
I presented a document from my PMHNP for my cat as an emotional support animal which falls under the Americans with disabilities act. Stephanie informed me the owner of the Apts would have to contact her attorney and make a decision? Lies, it was up to her to adhere to the law as she is managing the Apt not the owner.
I was contacted by Stephanie later and informed that she was denying my request. Unable to find or afford an attorney to represent me I gave up and started moving out. I remained very civil and during my move out of the Apt, and I asked Stephanie as to when I could expect my deposit back, she told me within two weeks but expression on her face and body language told me I didn t stand a chance in hell of getting it back, as a matter of fact she sent me a bill for the cleanup of the patio...
Avoid this so called business like the plague, she is a criminal and a thief. I did some research and Stephanie has been in court multiple times regarding security deposits and found guilty of using them inappropriately.
I can t believe the law allows a business like this to operate.
I must say I was not impressed with Austen Property Mngt. I called and invited Stephanie to come present her agency to us with the possible consideration of using them for our rental. I was eager to meet Stephanie. The day we had planned to meet she sent her partner and I was surprised to answer the door to a man rather then herself. I thought it was rather inconsiderate she didn't have the thought to call and give me heads up that she wouldn't be coming as planned. The business was laid out to us in a rather laid back, no big deal, off the cuff, sort of fly by night group of people. I would like to know they truly wanted to have the business being offered through a possible rental and Stephanie would put more effort in attending to her clients as if she cared. It might help to get a little more education and show some class and organization to attain future clients.
Entire rental deposit lost to bankrupt owner. Also, I have concerns about company's that post their own good reviews (or have their parents post for them in this case, also the bankrupt owner). I recommend renting from an honest management company, especially if you take good care of your rental and want to see your deposit when you move.
