I must agree with Lori about what was stated about Lyric Coffee House. I have a love and passion for cafes no matter where i go or visit and after visiting my partner there in Clayton and taking a stroll around and stumbled upon this cafe i had to stop in to take a look at what they had to offer atmosphere, snacks, coffee, and diversity wise and i found all the mentioned categories to be present wise but i must agree it needs more diversity which is not the fault of the cafe by all means.

Anyway, my dream is to open a cafe of my own, so that has been in the works for about a month or so even before visiting Lyric's.. Right now i am doing my own research on the best areas and other types of things needed to keep in mind when opening up a very special place like a cafe.

The next time i visit Clayton i have plans on sitting down with the owner and talking about the ins and outs of owning a cafe, which the owners information will be so helpful and special to me.

Oh, how I will miss my dailey fix of joe from Lyrics. As a confirmed Starbucks junkie I could never imagine any coffee coming close, let alone surpassing, but I am here to declare that if Lyrics wasn't almost 4 hours from my house, I'd be there dailey. Sigh. While visiting the 1000 Islands we stopped in and quickly found that a stop there was mandatory for the rest of our stay. We even grabbed one on the way out of town and wept softly when we finished them in the car. The atmoshere is the best, quiet, lovely, full of games to play and places to chat or just read. The TV has on old movies or old TV shows but not in a way that is in the least bit disturbing. Starbucks could learn a lot from this wonderful shop. My family included 8 members on that trip ranging from 45 down to 8 and EVERYONE of us loved this place.

If I could clone this shop and put one in every town I would---it's just that good. They could not have thought it out better, nor served better food or coffee. Heaven on earth. I will sleep tonight dreaming of their white mochas.

If you're in the 1000 Islands stop in---so worth it!
