The food was good and the atmosphere was decent. The night was ruined by the manager on duty. My wife tried a few different mixed drinks, but could not drink one of them because it was too strong. The manager basically told us tough luck...He relayed via the waitress that the drink was made the way it's supposed to be, and there's nothing he would do about it. He didn't offer to fix the drink, change the drink, or take it off the bill. The waitress had already told us she would take it off the bill, but the Manager said no way, and made her come back and tell us that we would indeed be paying for that drink. That is unbelievably poor customer service for a new restaurant which is trying to build a customer base. Along with another couple, we spent well over $100 there that night, and would have continued to do that in the future if we were treated a little better concerning one lousy drink. Now, it will be hard to choose the Gigglin' Goat for a weekend hangout. A first experience like that leaves a bad taste in one's mouth...all over a $5 drink! Our waitress was nice, and did the best she could under the circumstances. The management needs to consider another profession, because customer service doesn't seem to be very important to them. They made an extra couple of dollars that night...hope it was worth it for them, because they lost alot of future business.
I visited the Gigglin Goat despite negative reviews from a co-worker. I found that I should have headed her advice. The wait staff are slow and provide very poor service. Additionally it took close to an hour to receive our order. The only reason I would go back is for the Diablo Pasta, which was AMAZING. If you are a very patient person who has time for slow service you will enjoy your visit but most people will have a poor experience due to poor management of both waitstaff and time management of the chef/cooks.
