High priced for what you get. Had the tenderloin which was excellent, the mashed potatoes tasted and looked like instant potatoes, and the creamed spinach was not spiced at all. I ordered a glass of wine and it was the least amount of wine that I have ever recieved at a restaurant, if you get wine go ahead and buy a bottle - you might as well since they charge 33% of the price of a full bottle for one glass. You can take home what's left over. The salad was merely field greens with two red onion pieces and 1 roma tomato. The place has to be making a killing on food costs. Dessert was excellent. Service was professional and the restaurant had a nice decor. Excellent wine list. I probably won't be going back, I can make the same food much better at home for 1/4 of the price.
Ate there 5 Sep 07, for my first time. If not for the prices, I would give 3 stars. Great wine and drink selection. Very nice decor. Better than average service. Now the bad news - tiny portions, exorbitant prices. The steaks are small, and no better than anybody else's in town. A 4 oz. cup of soup is $8. Two scoops ice cream is another $8. A small steak can run $35 - $50. One person can easily run up a $100 tab.
I was disappointed in the quality of the food, considering the cost. Recommendation: Save your money and go to Longhorn. They have the best steaks in Charlotte at any price ($18 for a HUGE prime rib that beats the heck out of anything Ruth's serves).
