Very pleased. Clean, safe, and much to do! Great spa, super pool, on site restaurant. No need to leave the resort all week. We found the staff to be freindly and helpful. We had a great time and we will be back!
We recently stayed at the Palms for our first time and I will say that the customer service leaves little to be desired. You pay entirely too much for the rooms for the amount of service and complimentary items you receive. They advertise their room to be at 269.00 but after resort fees, cleaning fees and all the other fees are added, you pay around 350.00 per night!! Ridiculous! And not to mention that you don't even receive complimentary coffee! I've stayed at hotels that did not cost near as much and we at least received that. Another complaint that I have is that you have to wash your own towels, make your own beds, and even buy your own trash bags for the kitchen trash!! Why am I paying a cleaning fee? When I called the front desk after we had been there for a couple of days to ask where the trash bags were located, she informed me that they provide the first one, but the rest we would be responsible for. She did not even offer to give us one in the meantime, so that I would have one before I could get to a store! They also only gave us a small box of Tide that would only wash one load of clothing, and when my husband called the front desk to ask for some more, they again did not offer any, and told him he would have to provide his own. I don't mind having to provide my own items used in the room if I know ahead of time. But to show up and have no idea and to pay the price of the room, the Palms certainly is not worth it. They falsely advertise their resort prices, they fail to mention that you take care of your own room for the entire stay, and not one time while I was at the resort did I ever see a member of the staff, except at check-in and check-out! We have been coming to Destin for years and have stayed in some very luxurious places, so I know what to expect for the price that I pay. I will not stay at the Palms again simply because of the lack of customer service. If I wanted to do everything for myself I would just stay at home, not go on vacation! I will mention that the hotel was very nicely decorated and the pools were amazing. But other than that, I have nothing good to say about it.
We stayed here for 6 days and we loved it! The pools are fabulous! No complaints here!

So ... then ... the customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. I started reading this thinking you were pleased ... I guess it's easy to falsely advertise ...
Amen, mrsjam00 My family spend our summer vacation at the Palms in July. What potential this place has if only it had the managment and customer service to back it up. Yes, the pool area was wonderful and so was our condo, but when you were in need of anything it just didn't happen. Check in was at 4:00p.m., we finally got into the condo around 6:00. Not fun when you have a 10 year waiting to start vacation and has riden in a car for 10 hours. My husband and I tried to order lunch from Trader Vic's on two different days and just didn't get any service. When we made reservation though the resort we were told we would receive a $50.00 gas card at check out. The day we left no one in customer service had access to the cards and I was told they would mail it to me, which they did. A Tom Thumb gas card is what we received; we have no Tom Thumb in our area so I sent it back and requested by phone a card that we could use in our area. Needless to say a month later still no gas card. After several phone calls to them, I have just given up. Just a good note, in my recent phone calls to the Palms I have been notified that they have new management.
