Funky and cool, great, fresh and non fried seafood options. highly recommended.
Curry Creek is an amazing restaurant experience.
The Food is outstanding and the service is very attentive.
This is a special find in Nokomis, having spent so much time driving to sarasota to eat at a good restaurant in the past, having one near venice is a treat. I was impressed from the moment we walked in. The Chef and owner came out and said hello, and the Indonesian food was outstanding.
I especially liked the Shrimp and eggplant. Seasoned with Galunga, and served with Jasmine rice flavored with lemon grass and cocounut milk. The eggplant tender and sweet and the shrimp a perfect foil for the spicey tomato sauce.
Food was very reasonably priced especially at lunch where the entrees were all under $10.00 The Angus Burger with portabello, and fontina cheese was to die for.
The Restaurant is decorated with vintage photos from the 20's and 30's of local areas including Casey's Pass, Dona Bay and Curry Creek. There is even a photo of a woman riding a Manta Ray on venice beach.
Dinner entrees start under 10.00 and go to 17.95
The fresh baked bread served with Tapenade was great, and the salads are made with Boston lettuce.
This is a restaurant not to be missed, and I understand they are adding Gourmet Mexican Food this summer. We recently sampled a Green enchilada with a fresh Tomatillo salsa that the Kitchen was experimenting with that was outstanding.
I would recoment this place to anyone who likes to try something different, and yearns for quality seafood cooked in something other than a fryer and looks for restaurants that have a real chef in the kitchen.
They are open 7 days a week during the season, and reservations are recomended as the seating is under 40
