Swampy's Cajun Shack

I have been here lots and it’s great.
I try something new every time I go.
Have not been disappointed yet.
Service is a little slow, but good food takes time.
Staff is great always polite and smiling.
Even the owner walks around checking on guest.
Even a live band on sat nights or was it Fri (Drinks are good to)
Frog legs the best
Fried green tomatoes the best
The best homemade cream gravy ever.
They have a good verity of food on the menu.
I eat seafood my husband dose not, they have steaks
And kid friendly menu, its perfect for the whole family.
Everybody should try this place.

NASTY with a capital N. I am from Bayou Lafourche. Louisiana. Raised on cajun food all my 52 years and this is not Cajun food. Lots of restaurants claim to be Cajun....Just imposter or city like foods. This place is no exception. I guess some people will fall for anything. The place is nasty also.

I use to like this place a lot the food is very cajun and yummy, but a bit expensive then during my last visit....a HUGE ROACH crawled up the wall next to me from under our table during a busy lunch in the middle of the day! How many roaches does a resturant have to have for them to come out in the day with a bunch of people around? I was mortified! I told our waitress and her response was, and I quote, "Another customer told me they saw a roach on the wall too, but I did not believe them because when I went to look for it, I could not find anything."

So now you have two different customers who do not know each other finding roaches! Have you ever heard of pest control? I would call someone asap, you have a problem on your hands...which is surprising in a new building such as yours!

As a big fan of this resturant, I am SO DISAPPOINTED, and am considering calling the health department to come check you guys out. In all my life of dinning out, I have NEVER see a roach at any resturant EVER! Yuck! To top it off, we got up and left after having three bites of our meal, and we had to pay for our meal that we barely touched....this should have been compted given the circumstances.
