Yes, the webcams, $9 car rental and online appointments are impressive but I believe you will pay dearly for these perks one way or another. If you live near New Caney, I would recommend Executive Auto (very honest shop). If you live near Baytown, I would recommend Culpepper's Automotive on North Main (another very honest shop). If you live near Domestic Auto Experts, or AutoAnswers, or whatever name they are going by this week, I would recommend moving...just kidding, but do avoid or at least be a VERY informed consumer. Their parts markup is among the highest I've seen and they have incorrectly diagnosed my vehicle --they actually added a problem in the process. I will not take it back for them to repair, I'd rather pay someone I trust. The front counter guy is extremely polite and has an answer for everything although they do not make sense if you are paying attention.
If you just need an inspection and oil change and have a coupon (check their website for coupons), it may be ok but DO NOT approve repairs without making a few phone calls and google searches. I'm not bitter or angry, just hoping to help others avoid unnescessary expenses.
I took my truck here with a squeaking rear bearing. They were very polite and called me right away with a estimate - $1500!! I went back to see a detail of charges - they were charging me $100 more than what I could buy the parts for but may main problem was $109 per hour labor rate. Also they planned to replace all 6 bearings in the rear end to get the right one. I have now taken the truck elsewhere and I only have one bad bearing and the bill is under $400. I read the other reviews here before trying them - if you know nothing about what your repair should cost you will probably like this place.
I have brought my car several times and have always been greeted kindly and taken care of promptly. I like the speedy checkin kiosk they have too in the store. And making appointments instead of waiting an arbitrary amount of time is great. I will continue to do business here.
