I am a martial arts enthusiast in the most extreme form. Because of this, I take my instruction very seriously. Royal Martial Arts is amazing! Master Choi is not only a very skilled Martial artist and teacher, but he is also an amazing person. Master Choi has been successful in finding a perfect balance between the old school, disciplinarian way of teaching, which I appreciate, and the more modern way of teaching for the younger kids. Both the kids and the parents who come to Royal Martial Arts are very happy with the service they receive and just the general vibe. The school isn’t a huge chain like some of the other places that treat you like you are just another monthly payment. Master Choi and Linda (Manager) are very welcoming and there is a family feeling about the school.

I have been living in Maryland for over 10 years now, bouncing from one school to another, but I recently just signed a long-term contract with Royal Martial Arts because I am so happy with the quality of instruction and the great price. Another great thing about Royal Martial Arts is the fact that Master Choi is young and passionate about Taekwondo and, especially, Hapkido as he is a champion in the sport. Unlike most other schools, where the head master is very old, Master Choi is able to teach much better because he can actually demonstrate every technique for you himself. He is strict, but understanding and the children who attend his school are very respectful and disciplined. He helps to better their grades in school as well with after school learning programs as he has just integrated a full computer lab in the back room of the school. Master Choi is sympathetic to parents who may have financial troubles along the way. He often allows students of parents, struggling to pay fees, to continue attending classes, while the parents try to get back on their feet.

Overall, I must say that Royal Martial Arts is truly the best of the best when it comes to instruction, discipline, and fun. I have been to MANY schools in the Montgomery County and Howard County area and they are honestly pretty bogus… all games and no real quality instruction for kids and adults. Royal Martial Arts is definitely the best of the best!

I am 17 years old teenager who is currently attending to Royal Martial Art, and I have been attending this school for about 3 years now and the students are very friendly. I can still remember my first day of the class, I was very shy back then, so I could not really try to talking to the students, but a lot of them introduced themselves and from that I learned how to socialize with others. As I was working hard to reach the next level in martial arts, there were some difficult times when it was hard for me to concentrate on a form or I had to learn a new kick, but as I have overcome the difficult situation, I can see now that I have improved not just in physical state, but also I have grown mature in my mental state. The school has started about three years ago and with the care that our master has put into this place, it is still very new and clean. I remember taking other martial art schools and the masters tend to be close minded or very narrow at the things that teenagers do, but Master Choi in Royal Martial Art is very open minded and always trying out new things such teaching abacus in the summer camp program which is a different way to solve math problems. He is not just a highly skilled master, but a great teacher. If you are considering taking martial arts, Royal Martial Art is one of the best choices that you can have. You must see for yourself and experience how it feels like to be attending Royal Martial Arts. If you want to know about more about my experience and how I gained my confidence through this school you can ask more Michael at the door.

This is the martial art school you want to go to. Master Choi is a very good master. He teaches us many things that is beyond punches and kicks. He always tells us to respect and royal to each others. If you wanted to take a martial art class, you should come here because it is a great place to learn.
