User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsEl Azteca was the worst Mexican food I have ever had, no exaggeration. The service was friendly, but the atmosphere was terrible, and the food was tasteless. I ordered a burrito with beans, cheese, and pico de gallo , what I got was a burrito without season in the meat, a slice of processed American cheese melted on canned refried beans. The pico de gallo was a large piece of lettuce and a few chunks of tomatoes, and to boot the free salsa that comes with the chips was super watery. This was not at all what I expected and was definitely not what was advertised. From what others have told me, the only good thing is the margaritas. I give them one star for customer service, low prices, and good booze.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEl Azteca has to be one of the BEST restaurants in Oshkosh! The service is unmatchable and the food is very authentic and delicious. They start you out with a warm greeting and immediate seating in a nice atmosphere with decor of Mexico and a see-through fireplace. As you are seated, the chips, salsa, and special (mild) warm bean dip awaits you. The next step has to be a regular margarita on the rocks with salt. I recommend the Fajita Mexicana - once I ordered it for myself and ate for 3 days off of one meal; next I shared with my husband and we brought home leftovers of one meal! The service can't be beat, you are catered to by the many eager staff. We wittnessed someone having a fun birthday celebration a few tables down. On my recent visit, I happened to be dining with 2 kids age 4 and 1 year and the servers anticipated and cared for our every need (saltines when we sat down, extra napkins and extra plates, cups with lids, etc.). The kids food was good (a little bland which was great for our kids sensitive palates) and plentiful at a fair price. Overall, atmosphere was excellent, service was excellent, food was excellent, and price was excellent! What more can I say?

El Azteca has excellent mexican food!! The service was wonderful and our food came out very fast. Also if you want a good margarita go there! This is the best mexican food that I have had in years.I would highly recommend that everyone who loves mexican food go there. Wonderful atmosphere there also! Love the food and service!
