I frequent this restaurant often and enjoy the atmosphere, the food offerings, and the staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant and appreciate this type of restaurant in Le Mars. They make a great margurita and offer a number of fine wines. We need more of these better restaurants.

I like the attempt the brothers are trying to achieve. But for me and the few times I've tried the restaruant, they haven't
impressed me alot. Tonight for example started off ok, walked in was told about 20-25 minute wait. After watching the hostesses try to remember who were next, and then them calling a couple twice after they had just sat the couple. Wasn't a high point. Then while we waited we noticed that several tables were sitting empty as they continued to take names for the waiting list.
We finally are sat and relatively a short wait before the waitress came to take the drink order. We placed our food order and 10-15 minutes later appitizer and salads came. Good inmpressed. Then we waited for 30 more minutes for main course. Which was semi cold with the vegetables being completely cold.
So overall again wasn't impressed with the service and or the food.

Not much of a selection on the menu, but the Lavosh is awesome! I loved the Iowa corn chowder, until recently I noticed it did not taste as good and I asked an employee about it and they told me it was no longer homemade. Kind of disappointed in that, it being a local restaurant.
