HORRIBLE!!! They leave fertilizer all over the place when they come out to treat the lawn. I have called 2x to complain about this and they always say the same thing. "Oh, He did not have a blower with him." LIARS!! It happens to my neighbors all the time. It has stained the stone walk way out in front of our house. They also never do a thorough job. They will only treat weeds they see visible. A spray and go service. Customer Service is the worse. Rude people who have an attitude all the time.
I have had Trugreen-NC for the 3 out of 5 years I have own my home and my lawn is beautiful! My grass grows pretty fast and it is very green. I do have some trouble with the weeds, but if it is a big issue Trugreen will often return and complete a second treatment for free.
I've also used the split seeding which work wonders on my back yard.
I hope this helps someone. I believe in order to maintain a beautiful lawn you must be willing to also do what is advised by your lawn service.
Peace!
We had great service from these guys when we lived in Michigan. They made our lawn there look like a golf course.
When we moved to NC, our lawn looked like a desert, so we hired these guys to help out. They get you to pay up-front for a lengthy period - possibly knowing you won't be happy with the results.
Two years later, our lawn still looked like a desert. They *did* show up in a big truck every month or so to spray some green liquid on the lawn. Funny thing, it never semmed to make the lawn green or lush.
They would only return calls to try to upsell me fall aeration or other additional services for additional fees. When I finally tried to fire them, I had to go through a couple meetings with "management" at my house so they could "assess my situation". Basically, they said I needed more of the same bad medicine.
It nearly took a legal battle to drop their service as they purposely make it difficult for you to fire them. I had to call their corporate offices and complain several times.
I am not sure if their formulation simply doesn't work in NC, or the local franchise is incompetent. Either way, they couldn't grow a weed in my lawn.
Do. Not. Bother.
