We so recommend East Coast Martial Arts for your family, it's such a family oriented atmosphere. Mrs Hover has clasess for "all ages" and with her wonderful personality it makes it so much "fun"! My son has so much energy that needed to be burned off, so we chose to take him to Mrs. Hover and boy has it worked, not only does he get home tired but he has also learned to R-E-S-P-E-C-T and learn to be more discipline. He loves all the techniques that she teaches him and looks forward to go, I think he wishes it was everyday. We really love the way she works with him and hope to one day to be able to try out one of her "adult classes". Keep up the great work Mrs. Hover and we love your NEW place.
I have never been motivated to work out. I fall very easily to the deadly sin of sloth; however, a friend of mine asked me to accompany her to a cardio kickboxing class at East Coast Martial Arts. I thought I'd give it a try to see how I'd like it. When I got there I was immediately greeted by the friendly face of Carla Hover. She asked what I wanted out of taking the class and I told her I was hoping to get into an exercise regime that I would stick too. Since that encounter, I have attended that same class for the last nine months. Carla is so inspirational and she is one of the only reasons that I get a good work out. She motivates me and others to push ourselves to our very brink and to always give our best not only in her class, but in everything we do. Carla has overcome a lot very recently and she empowers me to overcome my shortcomings as well. I would recommend her business to anyone who wants to share in her enthusiasm and welcoming personality.
Miss Hover has instructed my children for years. I find her to be an amazing instructor with the highest level of integrity. I saw a review saying just awful things from someone. As a counselor and a mother I can assure you that you will get more than your money's worth from her programs! There was an incident with her landlord who wanted to use her space for another program, tried to bully Miss Hover into moving out early, even disrupted our classes to try and hurt Miss Hover. I believe this is the person that wrote that shameful review. Amusing how ignorance and bullying go hand in hand. Miss Hover used this experience to teach my children about bullies, empowering them through her own experience! The children came away with a wonderful life lesson. Bravo East Coast Martial Arts for not backing down to those who try and push you around! and thank you Miss Hover for continuing to work with my children and instill all the life skills we as parents try and teach them at home.

Why don't you pour some more sugar on it. Carla has no integrity and is a coward. She never represented herself and was often seen running out the door to avoid paying her rent. We were new customers and actually witnessed this. The landlord wanted her rent and property back. Stop pouring all this sugar on the situation and get a life - you are Carla's friend and writing these glowing reviews.
Don't you just sound silly. As new customers I highly doubt you witnessed anything to do with this business. I am sure you are the landlord, Christy writing this. It is just so obvious I am embarassed for you. The landlord had her children training with my children. Although it appeared these children were classified with "special needs", they appeared to be thriving under the program. Just another bully tactic that will not stand up to this program's outstanding reputation. By the way, the new facility is outstanding! Congratulations once again to East Coast Martial Arts for perserviring under the stress of yet another ridiculous attack a pathetic attempt to taint your reputation.
