Awsome food and atmosphere wish I could eat there every day. It is however to expensive to do that. I guess you get what you pay for.
Went to the Pig-Out BBQ pit on 2/6/09 and had an overall great experience. The first thing that caught my eye was a small sign outside in the front of the store that read 'Free Beer While You're Here'. Could this dream-come-true actually be for real? Sure enough, my friend and I had only 2 steps in the door when we were greeted with "Good afternoon...how about a free beer"? Being that is was already noon, I quickly said 'YEP' and was handed a cold can of Yuengling (that's right, a CAN...this is a BBQ joint remember...bottles are for restaurants).
The building is and old stone construction dating back toâ¦.wellâ¦how the hell do I know? But it is OLDâ¦and cool place. There are only 3 large outdoor-type picnic tables inside to eat at and they are not the most comfortable seats to plant your ass onâ¦and the old building is also a cold buildingâ¦but letâs not loose perspective hereâ¦remember, itâs a BBQ jointâ¦..that plays Floyd and Leppelinâ¦.and gives away FREE beer! I mean, if the food is good, I think Iâm gonna move in !!!
Now, on to the food: High quality BBQ. Real high quality...Served on a paper plate and on a cafeteria-style tray...just the way it should be. Nothing fancy...all of the time, effort, and money is put into the BBQ...The menu is full of beef and pork BBQ specialties which makes choosing difficult. Everything looks good. Keep in mind, there is nothing cheap here. Prices, however, are fair...and the portions were great. I had the large Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork sandwich with Roasted Raspberry Chipotle sauce. Fantastic sandwich that piled-high with pork (half pound) and a happen' sauce that has the sweetness from the raspberry and a little kick from the chipotle. My counterpart inhaled a large Hickory Smoked Brisket Sandwich that smelled as good as it looked. Both of us had a side of baked beans...$2 each for a big bowl. Oh yeah, we also managed to scarf down 6 wings that were baked instead of fried...also perfectly cooked.
Be back soon for sure. Free beer policy: 2 free beers to anyone eating-in and over 21. Does not have a liquor license so beer can not be purchased.
Whoops, look at the timeâ¦noon again. Of to Glen Mills!

I was excited to try this place after reading some good reviews but it was disappointing. The St. Louis ribs were soaked in grease, even at 1pm when you expect the food to be freshest. Gray Greasy ribs make me sad.
