Pros: Fried Scallops were plum sized and awesome. French Fries are memorable. Above average portions, we asked for a few extra fries and weren't charged. Killer coleslaw. Extra casual nautical theme. Fast service. Prices are on pace with the Boston area.

Cons: Mostly fried, compact menu. No draft beer.

Went back to the No Name this past weekend after a 15 year absence. One should not expect anything fancy from the restaurant, after all it is called the NO NAME. But, don't believe that is good seafood cheap. We ordered the seafood platter for $18. In many places north of Boston a seafood platter means a heaping plate of seafood you can sink your teeth into. This is what we received LITERALLY on our plate - 2 scallops, 1 shrimp, 1 small palm sized dry piece of swordfish, 1 very small dry palm sized piece of scrod, and 1 small palm sized piece of salmon. Along came a small bread plate kiddie portion of fries, the cole slaw was at least a decent portion, but that was the bright spot (ho, hum). The couple next to us got a similar sized plate of a different seafood combo, and they paid $29 for their plate (are you kidding me?). So basically, for the way out of the way location, the myth of "good seafood cheap", take it from a "local", pass on the No Name. There are dozens of other much more worthy places to go around Boston. Go to the CLAM BOX in Ipswich - it is 99 times better !!!
