I took my dog to Noah's Ark Too. I dropped her off early in the morning and the place was dirty and the smell was horrendous. I foolishly thought it was because they hadn't had a chance to clean. Wrong...it smelled just as bad when I went back to get my dog. They kept my dog all day and when I called to check on her they were extremely rude. I won't go back.
The picture of the chow above is the result of our poor encounter with Noah's ark pet grooming skills. After specifically telling them over and over again not to shave our dog we showed up hours later to find our dogs hair completely removed except for her head and tail.
The place itself is disgusting. It smelled disgusting and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The owner and staff were extremely rude and obviously did not know what they were doing.
If you love your animals do not take them to this horrible excuse for a pet care facility.
Cons: I just took my small-sized toy poodle there after my mother had taken her 2 cats. The Lady who owns the place "Jamie Hunt" not only is she rude and lacks the ability to deal with the customer in any effective manner. As a liscensed groomer you would assume she would have the basic attributes of someone who actually attended class.
She mistreated our animals (rough handled the cat and dog because they weren't cooperating) made uneven cuts, left 1 foot on the toy poodle completely unclipped, and both back feet on the cat.
Not only was the service horrendous, (excluding the 2 younger females who were genuinely kind), the enviroment was just as bad as I realized in the morning i found myself opening the door to be hit with an intense nauseating smell. After this I should have left, but I was determined to also give it the benefit of the doubt (with much regret).
I was expecting the owner to be dressed atleast half way professional but she was dressed for vacation, revealing multiple tattoos on her back.
Pros: Greener Groomers is just about 8 minutes further away on pat booker. They are excellent, no muzzle treatment, they attend to your dogs and try to gain there trust.
Other thoughts: She did give us a couple minutes of her time so we could explain the type of bear cut we wanted the poodle to have. Then 10 minutes later we brought her a picture so she could see it(bear-cuts tend to be round as in the picture we brought her, our dog ended up being squared..I got the pictures.)
Went out shopping and showed up to see if the dog was ready because the cell phone had died, when I arrived she immediately got defensive, probably because I had walked in on her holding the toy poodle by the scruff to the table, and she stated, "I said we'd call you when it was done." I replied, "Oh, well I just wanted to make sure we didn't miss the phone call because our cell phones died" Then she replied again, "We would have called your mother." I really felt unwelcome and simply said, "Oh okay well I was just checking." She cut me off with, "If your family didn't waste my time on the phone this morning I might be done by now." I became angry and left before I lost my temper.
You tell me is it really worth it?
