I went there with my russian friends and didn't expect it to be anything fun but i was wrong.

Although my friends told me the icons are russian art rooted in religion, the museum had little (if anything) to do with religion. It's more about history and art and education. I foud collection amazing and the icon writing as separate brunch of art is something i never touched upon. So it was very educational and fun.
I like it that they have cafe where you can refresh yourself, and everyone working there is highly knowledgeable about the subject.
Also, admission cost is just $5! And it's absolutely worth it. I would definitely come back again as soon as they have new collection or some interesting event going on.
100% recommended as recreational alternative to bars, clubs, malls and what not :)))
