It seems a little generic to write this place is the best, but in a city filled with mediocre sushi spots, Uzu has to be top 5 in the Philly Metro Area. This small, 14 seat spot has the freshest fish/shellfish around. It is byo, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality/quantity of the fish you receive. Also very good hot food menu (if your date doesn't like fish as much as you), but I stick to the fish. If in season, ask for live scallop. It is a treat. Gets busy Thursday-Sat night so you may wait for a table if you do not call ahead. Little place that rivals Morrimoto for 2/3 the cost. Grab a cone at Franklin Fountain for dessert next door.
